Sunny Deol Introduction


Sunny Deol is actor Dharmendra's son and his mother is Prakash. His wife's name is Pooja and his two sons are Rajvir and Ranvir. Actor Bobby Deol is his brother. Sunny did his schooling form Sacred Heart Boys' High School. In 1983, He made his acting debut in the blockbuster movie Betaab. In 1985, in film Arjun he played the role of a jobless youth who is forced to become a gangster by circumstances. This role established his image as the action hero of Bollywood. In 1990, Sunny's breakthrough role came with Ghayal directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. His role of a boxer who fights for his family received cult status. The government of India awarded him a national award for his role of a lawyer in Damini.Many of his films in the action genre including Tridev (1989), Vishwatma (1992), Imtihaan (1995), Ghatak (1996), Ziddi (1997), Border (1998) and Indian (2001) were some of the biggest hits of his career.He has also had success in romantic and dramatic roles in films including Chaalbaaz (1989), Damini (1993), Darr (1993), Jeet (1996) and Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001). Gadar: Ek Prem Katha remains his most successful film to date at the box office.Sunny Deol has also tried his hand at direction with the film Dillagi starring himself, Bobby Deol & Urmila Matondkar.
